Friends
Friends of the Robert Hillestad Textiles Gallery is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization formed to stimulate interest in the Gallery and the historic collections in the Department of Textiles, Clothing and Design at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. The Friends play a vital role in the activities of the Gallery by providing ongoing financial support, fundraising for special projects, educational outreach programs and workshops, and special events to extend the relationship between the Gallery and the community. The Friends provide the Gallery’s single largest source of annual funding. Membership dues help sustain this unique and innovative resource. Members also receive a subscription to our newsletter “Uncommon Threads,” advance notice for exhibitions, and discounted fees for publications and workshops by local and visiting artists, and many opportunities to share their interest in textiles with others.
